My name is Elizabeth Hamilton, I am 34 years old, and I am a complete Star Wars junkie.
I am very excited that a week from now the new standalone move ‘Solo’ will be opening. I think ‘Rouge One’ was amazing, and very well done. That movie was able to bridge the gap between episodes three and four, which I feel is critical in the telling of the complete Star Wars story.
Now, with the impending arrival of ‘Solo,’ we will get another chance to have specific, fundamental questions answered. Such as, where did Han come from? How did Chewbacca become his best friend? How did he meet Lando? Last but not least, how did he obtain the Millennium Falcon?
For true Star Wars fans, these are questions that begged for concrete answers since episode four was released in 1977. My only reservation and concern are Ron Howard being the director. His last two movies did not fare well at the box office so, like others, I am concerned. However, if the trailers are any indication, this movie should be a masterful piece in the Star Wars saga.
I know this may be a little light-hearted for a news station such as KTAR, and some readers may not understand my choice in topics to speak about but here is how I see it. A life without a little fun, levity and enjoyment now and again is dull and unenjoyable.
If people can’t take a moment to appreciate the simpler things, then what’s the point of it all? I hope everyone who reads this gets it and enjoys the movie with their friends and family just as much as I’m sure I will.
