PHOENIX — Border Protection officers discovered an incomplete cross-border tunnel during a routine sweep in Nogales, Arizona, officials said.

The tunnel measures 25 feet in length, six and a half of which extend into the U.S., and ends abruptly at the site of another cross-border tunnel. The previous tunnel was discovered earlier this year.

The tunnel was discovered after officers found cinder blocks with fresh mortar nearby.
