Main Street Minute: It’s a good day for eating around the Valley

Feb 9, 2015, 3:32 PM | Updated: 3:33 pm

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.

• It’s National Pizza Day and a number of pizza places are partying it up with customers. Fired Pie is celebrating by offering dine-in only deals at all nine locations.

• Customers will get two free pancakes Monday when they visit breakfast place Scramble in Scottsdale. The site is celebrating its one-year anniversary.

• The first shovels of dirt moved over the weekend for the Maricopa Education Center campus in Buckeye. The campus, at Interstate 10 and Verrado Way, will provide programs and career training in many energy fields, including sustainable energy and industrial technology.
