Main Street Minute: Valley-based Kona Grill expanding out of state

• Good news for a Valley restaurant chain. Kona Grill generated just under $30 million in revenue for the second quarter, a 16 percent increase over the same time last year. The Scottsdale-based chain recently expanded to El Paso, Texas, and plans to open restaurants in Florida, Georgia and Ohio by the end of the year.
• Arizona State University and the University of Arizona have made the list of the top 50 American colleges for aspiring entrepreneurs. Information for the list comes from Crunchbase, which keeps track of start-up businesses. ASU ranked 29th, UA came in 43rd. Stanford was No. 1.
