Main Street Minute: Utility will install solar panels for free

• APS is looking to get into the rooftop residential solar market. To jump-start the plan, the utility company will install solar panels on 3,000 homes and pay customers $30 a month. APS plans to eventually spend $70 million to expand the service throughout the Valley.
• Mattress Firm is hiring sales managers at Phoenix, Tempe Chandler and Mesa stores.
• The Maricopa Community College system is hiring. The school system needs an administrative secretary, program advisers, admission records workers and a payroll manager.
