Main Street Minute: Feds will listen to pitch for West Valley casino

• A West Valley casino is one step closer to reality. The U.S. Department of the Interior has told lawmakers it is willing to talk about building a casino at 91st and Northern avenues. The Tohono O’odham tribe has been working for years to build a casino, but has faced opposition from other states.
• The Valley of the Sun United Way is hiring. The organization needs marketing specialists, someone to work with the community handling its gift program and customer service workers.
