• Samurai Sam’s Teriyaki Grill is celebrating its 20-year anniversary Thursday by giving away food. The first 20 customers at each Samurai Sam’s location will get a free chicken teriyaki bowl. Everyone who comes in for the rest of the day will get free egg rolls. All four Valley locations open at 10 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.
• Tom’s Thumb Fresh Market is holding a job fair Thursday. The north Scottsdale business offers car washes and gas, but is also a barbecue bistro, coffee shop and small grocery store. The market is looking for 10 workers to fill several positions. The on-site job fair runs from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the corner of Bell Road and 94th street.
• Changing Hands Bookstore is gearing up to open its second location on Camelback Road west of Central Avenue in Phoenix. The bookstore will be home to the First Draft Book Bar, which will serve beer, wine and coffee. The bar is hiring bartenders, coffee baristas and bar backs before it opens in May.
