PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks offer the least expensive game day experience in Major League Baseball, a survey said.

The Team Marketing Report, for the ninth-straight year, said the D-backs have the lowest fan cost in MLB at $126.89 for a family of four, about $85 less than the average of $211.68.

“They combine four season tickets, two beers, four soft drinks, four hot dogs, parking and two adult-sized caps,” D-backs President and CEO Derrick Hall said.

The D-backs also boast the second-cheapest tickets in baseball at an average $17.98, nearly $11 less than the league average of $28.94.

Hall said the Diamondbacks were able to keep their average ticket price flat this year, while the rest of the league saw hikes of about 3 percent.

“It’s shocking to know that, of the 30 teams in Major League Baseball, we (the Phoenix area) have the lowest per capita income of all of those teams, so we keep that in mind,” he said. “We have plenty of people who can afford to come here but for those who can’t, we want them to come here and say, ‘Hey, that was a great experience, and it didn’t cost me an arm and a leg.'”

Hall said the organization keeps prices low by allowing fans to bring in their own food and water and offering cheap concessions, including $2 kids items and a $4 14-ounce beer.
