Flagstaff woman claims to see Jesus in dental X-rays

While on a visit to the dentist, a woman in Flagstaff, Arizona, spotted something peculiar while getting X-rays taken of her teeth.

The Huffington Post reports Kym Ackerman, 32, went in for just a regular dental check-up on March 25. No cavities were found while she was having X-rays taken, but she quickly saw something else: the image of Jesus in one of her teeth.

“At my dentist, the computer shows the X-rays as soon as they are taken,” Ackerman told The Huffington Post. “I said to the hygienist, ‘That looks crazy! Do you see I what I see?”

The hygienist agreed that the shape inside the patient’s left-side molar looked like Jesus, but Ackerman said the dentist wasn’t all too impressed.

“He wasn’t as surprised as we were,” she said.

Ackerman admitted she feels extra pressure to keep the tooth healthy, so as to not let it get tainted with a cavity or another dental issue.

She said she also saw the Jesus tooth as a sign from her late mother.

“My mom passed away from breast cancer when I was 17, so when I saw this, I thought, ‘That’s my guardian angel.'”

The Northern Arizona resident added she has plans to frame a copy of the X-ray.

A Jesus-like image was spotted in another odd place in Arizona a couple of years ago. It was seen by many on the floor near a security checkpoint in Terminal 3 of Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in June 2013.
