PHOENIX — A serious crash shut down the westbound lanes of two Valley freeways on Thursday, causing significant delays.
Westbound Interstate 10 was closed at US 60 and westbound US 60 was closed at Priest Drive on the Tempe-Phoenix border. Traffic was backed up at least a mile on both freeways.
Drivers who normally take I-10 should use the Loop 202 San Tan or US 60 eastbound to the Loop 101 northbound before taking the Loop 202 Red Mountain west. They can reconnect with I-10 near downtown.
Those who normally take US 60 should use either the Loop 202 San Tan or Loop 202 Red Mountain as a detour.
UPDATE:
UPDATE: I-10 westbound has reopened at US 60. US 60 westbound will reopen at Priest momentarily. #phxtraffic
