PHOENIX — Postino Arcadia, “the Valley’s original local Winecafe” was named best bar in Arizona by Business Insider, who teamed up with Foursquare to put together a list of the top bars in the nation based on user ratings on the app.

Opened in 2001, the hip urban revival project has expanded to five other locations, with four in the Phoenix metro area and a spot in Denver. An Old Town Scottsdale location is also in the works, slated to open sometime this spring.

Postino Arcadia’s owners transformed the 1950s-era Arcadia Post Office on 40th Street and Campbell Avenue into a local wine fan’s favorite, offering a plethora of bruschetta and paninis to soak up the multiple glasses of tastefully chosen varietals that you’ll most likely imbibe.

You can easily impress your pinot-guzzling sister-in-law with a happy hour at Postino, where all glasses cost a mere $5. Then, on your way out, snag one of their “Drinking wine at lunch is not a crime” bumper stickers and slap it on her car.

Wine drinkers often get a reputation of being “snooty,” but it does not take a fortune to have a good time at Postino. At 8 p.m. on Mondays and Tuesdays, you can get a bottle and board of your choice, which includes any bottle on the list and four of the dozen bruschetta options.

We want to hear from you.
