Main Street Minute: Car-seat giveaway set for Phoenix shopping center

KTAR’s Main Street Minute focuses on local businesses that are hiring, opening and hosting events across the community. These stories air each weekday on KTAR at 7:27 a.m.
• AAA and the Safe Kids Coalition of Maricopa County are giving away 50 car seats Saturday. They’ll also be conducting free car seat checks from 9 a.m. until noon at the Target near 19th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. Appointments are required and kids must be present for parents to receive a car seat.
• Enjoy brunch Sunday at TopGolf in Gilbert from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The Easter Bunny will be there to take free pictures with the kids and there will also free gifts and cotton candy for the first 200 kids who play.
• The Surprise Police Department is taking applications for officer recruits. Applicants must be at least 21, a U.S. citizen with a high school diploma and have no felony convictions. The hiring process takes between 3 to 4 months from the date of the written and physical tests.
