In early February, Apple announced its plans to create a $2 billion command center at its 1.3 million-square-foot facility its Mesa.
But contractors in the Phoenix area are reportedly worried they might not be included in those plans.
Valley-based architects and construction contractors are concerned they may be bypassed by Apple in favor of national and California-based contractors to create the center, according to a Phoenix Business Journal report.
The contractors are also reportedly concerned they may be shunned by Apple if they speak about the project publicly.
Last year, Apple cut ties with a Mesa plant that produced the company’s sapphire glass.
