Arizona in second tier for national well-being

A recent Gallup survey found Arizona to be in the second quintile for well-being.

While Alaska and Hawaii held the highest well-being index scores, Arizona fell outside of the top 10, but somewhere within the second cut. West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana and Ohio sat at the bottom of the survey’s findings.

The index is determined by scoring the following categories:

• Purpose: Enjoyment of day-to-day life and motivation

• Social: Presence of supportive relationships and love

• Financial: Well-managed economic life and security

• Community: Appreciation and satisfaction for where one lives; safety

• Physical: Good health, lack of fatigue

California, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, North Carolina, Virginia, Vermont, Massachusetts and Maine joined Arizona in the second tier.
