PHOENIX — At least two people could be quitting their jobs Thursday — a pair of million-dollar Powerball tickets were sold in Arizona.
The big winners were in North Carolina, Puerto Rico and Texas, where three tickets matched all six numbers to split a $564.1 million Powerball jackpot.
Arizona was among the seventeen states with million-dollar winners, who matched five white numbers.
The jackpot was the third-biggest in Powerball history and the fifth-largest U.S. lottery prize. In May 2013, a Florida ticket won $590.5 million.
The winning numbers were: 11, 13, 25, 39, 54 and the Powerball 19.
The jackpot rolls back to $40 million for Saturday’s drawing.
