PHOENIX — Scottsdale-based Arizona United announced an affiliation with Major League Soccer’s FC Dallas on Monday.
“This is a major step forward in our efforts to help Arizona players achieve their dream of playing at the highest levels of professional soccer,” Arizona United owner Kyle Eng said in a release.
The affiliation means Dallas can send a minimum of four players to the desert for development.
“This agreement is a key step in fostering the development of our academy and reserve players,” FC Dallas President Dan Hunt said in the release.
Arizona’s head coach, Michael Dellorusso, was drafted by Dallas in 2006. He played professionally until 2009.
