A Valley third-grader won a national contest that gave her the chance to help broadcast the weather on Good Morning America Thursday.
Elayna Trinder was one of three “junior meteorologists” who helped with the forecast.
Her school, Challenge Charter School in Glendale, Ariz., has a Weatherbug weather station and a curriculum that focuses on “the science of weather.” It is the first in the state to adopt such a program.
