PHOENIX — Valley Metro received nearly $550,000 worth of additional advertising funds during Arizona’s Super Bowl.
Spokeswoman Susan Tierney said the boost in revenue came from two sources.
“The wraps on the train as well as some of the station advertising that visitors and Super Bowl fans saw,” she said.
Tierney said Valley Metro is still debating on what to do with the extra cash, but some of it could go to upgrading the light rail.
“We will look at a way to add some passenger amenities and that may include Wi-Fi on the trains,” she said.
