NFL analyst Warren Sapp arrested on prostitution, assault charges in Phoenix

PHOENIX — NFL Network analyst and Hall of Famer Warren Sapp was arrested on prostitution and assault charges in Phoenix on Monday.
A woman approached officers at the Renaissance Phoenix Downtown Hotel about 2:30 a.m. Monday claiming she was assaulted. She and another woman were allegedly hired by Sapp as escorts and were taken to his room.
The victim told police there was a disagreement about money and a physical altercation occurred.
Sapp admitted to one act of prostitution but denied the assault charges.
Both women were cited.
Sapp, who was in town to cover Super Bowl XLIX, has been fired by NFL Network.
