Plenty of football fun to be had at Verizon Super Bowl Central

PHOENIX — Inside of the epicenter of Super Bowl Central at First and Jefferson streets in Phoenix, a broadband giant is unveiling technology that virtually put you on the field of play.

“You can put on a headset for game time and you actually feel like you’re a player on the field at University of Phoenix Stadium,” Verizon spokeswoman Jenny Weaver said.

“You can see the players in all directions. Some people actually move when they’re wearing the headset because it’s so realistic. 360 degree vision, motion platform and surroundsound.”

Then there’s the Power House app that lets you get a virtual autograph from some of your favorite NFL players.

“Personalized to you and sent right to your smartphone,” Weaver said.

Fans can even chat with players via the app.

And there’s this:

“You can suit up into a virtual realty suit, score a touchdown and do your favorite touchdown dance. It’s pretty cool,” Weaver said.

And it’s all free, but kids need to be at least 13 to be able to download the app.

We want to hear from you.
