The remnants of a storm off the Pacific Ocean brought the rain promised by weather forecasters to the Valley on Wednesday and snow to other parts of Arizona.
Snow plows went to work on the highways near Flagstaff and in southern Arizona, travel was restricted to residents and workers on the highway to Mount Lemmon.
The National Weather Service set a winter weather advisory in place until
late Wednesday night in north-central Arizona and until early Thursday morning
in the White Mountains.
