Main Street Minute: Hotel chain to spend $13M to renovate Mesa site

• A high-end Valley steakhouse is growing its presence out of state. The Phoenix Business Journal reported that Steak 48 will open near Dallas, Texas. Steak 48 is part of the Phoenix-based Steak 44, which opened near 44th Street and Camelback Road in 2014.

• Arizona-based Ensemble Real Estate Solutions and Investments announced it has closed on the 12-story, 276-room Phoenix Marriott Mesa Hotel. Ensemble will keep the Marriott brand and will invest $13 million to renovate the property.

• The city of Phoenix has selected FSL Real Estate Services to build 121 energy-efficient homes. Construction on the homes near 24th Street and Broadway Road is slated to begin in July.
