PHOENIX — An Arizona Department of Corrections officer has been arrested on shoplifting charges in San Tan Valley.
Pinal County Sheriff’s Office said Hugo Rivera, 32, was taken into custody this week, accused of multiple visits over two weeks to a Wal-Mart. He brought along his 4-year-old daughter each time.
Rivera was charged with burglary, theft and organized retail theft.
Store employees turned over surveillance video to deputies. Among the items reported missing from the store after his visits were small appliances, linens and cleaning products.
