Man sitting in street killed in hit-and-run in west Phoenix

PHOENIX — A man sitting in the middle of the street was killed in a hit-and-run accident in west Phoenix early Thursday morning.
The 2 a.m. accident on 27th Avenue near Camelback Road shut down the road for two blocks south.
Police said a truck nearly hit the man before a second vehicle actually hit him. The driver of that car drove away.
No other details were immediately available.
