Phoenix police officer shoots and kills man suspected of selling drugs

A man suspected of selling drugs was shot and killed by a Phoenix police officer Tuesday.

It happened in a parking lot near 24th Avenue and Greenway Road, CBS 5 reports.

Police were in the area for an unrelated call when they saw drugs and a weapon in the man’s vehicle. The suspect then tried to run away and make the cops chase him, causing one of the officers to shoot him.

The man’s identity has not yet been released, and no officers were hurt.
