PHOENIX — A 32-year-old Ahwatukee man transported to Maricopa Medical Center on Friday was considered a “low risk” for Ebola according to Dr. Robert Fromm.
The man fell ill two days after returning to the Valley from Sierra Leone.
His results from the state lab are negative for Ebola, the Maricopa County Department of Public Health said late Friday.
The man called 911 early in the morning and was transported from his home after not feeling well, Phoenix Fire said.
He will be monitored for 21 days by county health department workers, following the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s protocol for return travelers.
