A coalition to recall Arizona superintendent of public instruction Diane Douglas has officially registered with the Arizona Secretary of State Office.
Aptly named, “The Coalition to Recall Diane Douglas,” the political committee registered on Nov. 24. According to public records on the AZSOS website, the group can be found under Filer ID “201600011.” The coalition listed a Peoria mailing address and is chaired by Anthhony Espinoza with Maxwell Goshert as the new treasurer.
This isn’t the first time the decision to elect Douglas has sparked controversy. In days after Republican Douglas first was declared the winner over Democrat David Garcia, a recall Facebook page got thousands of likes.
