A hiker who been missing in a north-central Arizona forest was found dead Monday morning, authorities said.
The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office reported an air and ground search found the body of David Polcyn, 57, in Coconino National Forest. The Sedona man was reported missing after failing to arrive at a trailhead northeast of
Camp Verde and south of Sedona.
Searchers looked without
success late Saturday and again on Sunday in the Beaver Creek Wilderness area. The search resumed Monday.
A sheriff’s spokesman said it appeared Polcyn was injured in a fall.
