Cox Communications announced earlier this week that the company had activated more than 500 WiFi hotspots in Phoenix which are free to its customers.
Locations such as the Phoenix Workforce Connection and the Sunnyslope Community Center were outfitted with the high-speed internet capability. The company intends to have 2,500 hotspots in place by the end of next year.
“In addition to the incredible speeds Cox offers in the home, our customers want access to reliable high speed internet wherever they are,” said Susan Anable, a Cox spokesperson, in a Wednesday release.
Cox boasts the largest WiFi network in the nation, with more than 300,000 hotspots across the country.
