Top 5 companies hiring in Phoenix

Arizona’s economy is on the mend, and with that, many companies are looking to finally expand their workforce.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Arizona’s unemployment rate in September 2014 was 6.9 percent, compared to its highest point in January 2010 at 10.8 percent. This means fewer Arizonans are still searching for work, but it’s not always easy to find which companies are looking for employees.

But a new list by SimplyHired, a job search engine, used employment listing information to find the top five companies hiring in 25 metropolitan cities, including Phoenix. These lists were featured on Forbes, a business news site.

The findings proved to be an excellent message for those seeking jobs in the health or finance industries. Nearly half of the companies with the most-posted openings in September were from the health care field, with banking, finance and university jobs also making frequent appearances in various cities’ lists.

Health care workers appear to be especially needed in the Phoenix market, but the list says it all. Below are the top five companies hiring in in the Valley:
