PHOENIX — Seven state prison employees were injured when the van taking them to work crashed in Buckeye, Ariz.
Three passengers were seriously hurt when a pickup truck ran a stop sign and hit the van Monday night near Highway 85 and Hazen Road. The van was en route to the Lewis Prison Complex around 9 p.m.
A Department of Corrections statement said four of the injured have been released from the hospital.
An Arizona highway patrol spokesman said the van rolled over after being struck. The driver of the truck was uninjured.
