Three-vehicle crash in Peoria leaves two dead, 11 injured

Oct 18, 2014, 8:07 AM | Updated: 8:08 am

A three-vehicle crash in Peoria early Saturday morning left two dead and 11 others injured, authorities said.

Of the 11 injured, eight were hospitalized with life-threatening injuries, three with non-life-threatening injuries. Two others refused medical attention.

The crash occurred on Lake Pleasant Rd and the Old Carefree Highway and authorities believe that speed and vehicles trying to pass each other may have played a role in the crash.

All those involved are in their late teens or early twenties.
