Arizona analyst: GOP presidential candidate Trump is on roll, will be tough to stop

PHOENIX — The Trump train keeps rolling and an Arizona political observer — along with plenty of others, expert or not — said the GOP establishment won’t be able to stop its presidential front-runner.
Chris Herstam, a former Arizona state legislator, said Donald Trump, who crushed Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz in Nevada’s caucuses Tuesday night, said the GOP was going to have to get used to the idea of the billionaire being its nominee.
“The margin of victory in Nevada is extremely impressive,” Herstam said.
Trump earned his third straight victory of the campaign season. He has only lost once, in Iowa to Sen. Ted Cruz.
The Democratic political analyst said, “(Trump is) winning across the board with Republican voters in both the rural and urban areas and across all economic levels.
“It’s obvious that Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio don’t have the sizzle to stop Trump, who is now supercharged and ready to go into the Super Tuesday primaries.
“I think the Republican establishment is going to have to hold their nose and embrace Donald Trump. They’ve been unable to stop him. They haven’t been that critical of him.”
Super Tuesday arrives next week, when 11 Republican states will vote. Trump was expected to pile up wins in several of those states.
