Car crashes into pole, takes out power to Phoenix neighborhood

PHOENIX — A car crashed into a traffic light pole causing a power outage Friday morning on the city’s west side.
The accident at 31st Avenue and Thomas Road shut down electricity to the surrounding neighborhood around 6 a.m. Traffic was closed in each direction from 35th to 27th avenues.
Power was out through the morning rush hour.
