PHOENIX — Hospice of the Valley has received a large grant to aid in their dementia care program.
The BHHS Legacy Foundation gave the grant to the hospice facility, part of which “helps to improve the lives of those living with dementia, as well as their caregivers,” the Phoenix Business Journal reported.
The money will go toward developing and evaluating a program that will help increase the quality of life for dementia patients and their families.
The $200,000 grant follows a $285,000 that was awarded to the hospice by the Virginia G. Piper Charitable Trust.
