PHOENIX — It’s Friday. It’s hot in the Valley of the Sun. If only there was a service ready to deliver ice cream to perk you up.
Good news, Phoenicians. Popular car service Uber is delivering ice cream around the Valley between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Friday.
To get the ice cream, Uber users must open their app and select “ice cream.” The service said it expects demand to be very high and availability is limited.
Delivery of ice cream for five people in the Phoenix area will cost $30 and is payable only through the Uber app.
Ten percent of the proceeds from Friday’s ice cream sale will be donated to Phoenix Children’s Hospital.
