Phoenix Zoo to host Winter in July event

PHOENIX — If the recent monsoons haven’t cooled things off enough for you, head to the Phoenix Zoo on Saturday.
The zoo will host its annual Winter in July event from 7-11 a.m. Saturday.
Attendees will be able to play in piles of the white stuff, enjoy icy-cold water play areas and play special games.
But it won’t just be the humans who get to enjoy themselves. The animals will get in on the fun and receive special snowy treats to help them beat the desert heat. The zoo has released a schedule of the special feedings.
