PHOENIX — The vacation-centered airline Allegiant Air will announce new flights to the Phoenix and Fort Lauderdale areas this week.
According to the Phoenix Business Journal, the Cincinnati flight would fly into the Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport in the East Valley.
Allegiant Air has seen rapid success at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport, and is expected to announce an expansion of its service to Punta Gorda, Fla., St. Petersburg, Fla. and Myrtle Beach, S.C. in addition to Phoenix and Fort Lauderdale.
At six destinations, CVG will become one of the busiest airports for Allegiant, known for its ultra-low base fares and its aim towards vacation travelers from small cities.
