Sedona, Tucson among best places for weekend getaways

PHOENIX — Weekend getaways are the perfect excuse for a little change of scenery and relaxation before getting back to the Monday routine.
U.S. News has listed Sedona and Tucson among the best places to unwind and escape the town.
Sedona’s red rock scenery took the number two spot on the list making it a great place to visit and savor the 100-plus hiking trails with stunning views.
Tucson was listed as number nine featuring Saguaro National Park, the golf courses in the Catalina Foothills and the adobe shops in the Barrio Histórico.
No. 1 on the list was Charleston, N.C., with their stress-relieving strolls along The Battery.
The complete list for the best weekend getaways followed with Colorado Springs, Monterey, Calif., Vancouver, Austin, Texas, Las Vegas and Williamsburg, Va., respectively.
