Amy Van Dyken grateful for support since accident

PHOENIX — Gold medal-winning swimmer Amy Van Dyken-Rouen continues her recovery in a Scottsdale hospital from an accident that severed her spinal cord.

Van Dyken has kept her social media accounts full of good-humored posts, whether it be about her paralysis …

or media reports about her age, based on the police report …

Other posts reflect her gratitude for all the support she has received since the accident.

Van Dyken crashed an all-terrain vehicle Friday near Show Low and was airlifted to Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn Medical Center.
