An early morning drive-by shooting has left three people dead and two others injured according to Glendale Police.

Officer Tracey Breeden, spokesperson with the Glendale Police Department said police received a call shortly after 3:30 a.m. early Saturday morning of shots fired at a residence in the 6500 block of West Orange Drive.

There, police found five people shot at the residence where a house party consisting of around 20 teenagers and young adults was taking place.

A 19-year-old male and a 15-year-old female were transported to area hospitals with non-life threatening injures while three other people were declared dead at the scene.

Police have identified the deceased individuals as 19-year-old Sean Marquez of Glendale and 19-year-old Jose Aguirre-Martinez of Scottsdale. A 16-year-old resident of Phoenix has still not been identified.

Police said the shooting started after five Hispanic males got into a verbal altercation inside the house. Breeden said the males were asked to leave the house in which they got into another verbal altercation in the front yard and were asked to leave the property.

Breeden said the men then got into an older model white sedan and drove down the street before turning around and came back and fired shots from the vehicle.

“We don’t know how many shooters there were. We just know that gunfire came from that vehicle and that vehicle fled the scene,” Breeden said. “It is believed that five Hispanic males were inside that vehicle. We don’t know the ages, again they appear to be teenagers or young adults according to the descriptions but we don’t know the exact ages.”

Police are asking anybody with information to contact the Glendale Police Department at 623-930-3000 or Silent Witness.

We want to hear from you.
