PHOENIX — Former Olympic swimmer Amy Van Dyken-Rouen remained in good spirits while she recuperates from an accident that has left her paralyzed.
Van Dyken’s spinal cord was severed when she crashed a four-wheeler last weekend near Show Low. She was thrown from an ATV when it hit a curb along a golf cart path.
Van Dyken has been active on social media since her hospitalization in Scottsdale. An update posted Tuesday expressed gratitude for the support that has been posted to her Twitter and Instagram accounts.
