Hit-and-run victim found dead in Phoenix street

PHOENIX — A middle-aged woman was found dead in the street Thursday morning, from what Phoenix Police said was a hit-and-run.

Police said a passer-by called them and said a body, later identified as Patricia Anne Herrera, 49, was in the street near 28th Avenue and Thomas Road, marked with tire tracks.

Herrera’s body was found about 2 a.m.

No witness have come forward. Anyone with information should call Phoenix Police or 480-WITNESS.
