PHOENIX — The list of official Donald Trump supporters grew a little longer on Wednesday.

The mogul’s campaign announced in a press release that several current and former Arizona politicians, including Treasurer Jeff DeWit, have officially endorsed Trump’s run for the White House.

DeWit, a Republican, said Trump’s business acumen is needed to turn around the country.

DeWit, who will serve as Trump’s campaign chair in Arizona, said billionaire is “one of the smartest and quickest minds of our time” in the release.

“His business success is extraordinary,” DeWit said. “His passion for America, our veterans, and protecting our freedoms is inspiring. But what may be his most admirable quality is his willingness to give back and serve our country.”

“[DeWit] is a terrific guy,” Trump said in a release. “He has been supportive of my campaign since the very beginning and it is a honor to receive the endorsement of such an intelligent, high-quality individual.”

In addition to DeWit’s nod, Trump also received endorsements from several former politicians: Attorney General Bob Corbin, state Sen. Lori Klein Corbin, state Sen. Robert Blendu, Arizona Republican Chairman Tom Morrissey and several others.

On the national level, Trump received the endorsement of former vice presidential candidate and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin on Tuesday.
