PHOENIX — Snow is in the forecast for Flagstaff, Ariz. this weekend, one month after winter officially ended.
“It is rare, but it’s not totally out of the ordinary,” said Megan Schwitzer with the National Weather Service. “We do see snowfall in the high country through April and sometimes into May.
Schwitzer said snow could gather along streets in the higher elevations of the state.
“Be cautious that there will probably be accumulating snow on the roadways Saturday morning,” she said.
The storm that will bring snow up north is part of a cold front that is blowing across the state. Phoenix is expected to be rainy and windy Saturday with a high of 73.
