Phoenix based startup Elio Motors has a vehicle that could save you a lot of money on gas.
Their 3-wheel machine is called an “auto-cycle” according to Phoenix Business Journal. The vehicle will cost $6,800 and get 84 miles per gallon on the highway.
The vehicle is technically listed as a motorcycle, but looks more like a car than anything else and has airbags and seat belts.
The company recently showed off the vehicle at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
If you are wondering about the demand for such a vehicle, the company already has 48,000 reservations and will sell the car directly from their own stores. There is also a formidable following around the company, with their facebook page having over 300,000 likes before even releasing the product.
The car comes in seven different colors and is expected to release in the fourth quarter of this year.
