Americans love Donald Trump because he’s mean

I have figured it out! I have cracked the code: I have discovered why so many Americans are hyped up about Donald Trump.
It all clicked while watching the Golden Globe Awards. Yes, the Golden Globes.
You see, Ricky Gervais is invited to host the Globes each year. They run the risk of him insulting the majority of celebrities in the crowd and whoever he feels needs a quick humbling.
He NEVER disappoints.
Which brings me to Trump, because takes shots in the same manner.
There it is: We LOVE mean.
Yes, Americans are so fed up with all of the politically-correct nonsense that we yearn for someone to stand up and say the things that we have become afraid to say.
Let’s face it: We have become pansies. We are so afraid of hurting some ones feelings that we hold back from saying what’s truly on our minds.
These guys just say it. And we love it.
Trump can’t get through one speech without offending someone. Inevitably those that are offended will scream and holler for a few days then settle back down.
And what do we learn? We learn that saying what is on our minds might offend, but we will all survive in the end.
That restores a lot of American’s faith in the toughness of this great country. It reminds us that we have both a right to offend and a right to be offended.
You can love or hate Donald Trump or Ricky Gervais, but their style of speech can be served as a reminder that Americans are a lot tougher than we give ourselves credit for.
