PHOENIX — A traffic device caused a short lockdown Tuesday at two Scottsdale, Ariz. schools, police said.
The device was found chained to a fence near 128th Street and Via Linda about 1:15 p.m. Nearby Desert Mountain High School and Mountainside Middle School were placed on lockdown as a precaution while police investigated.
The device was found to be a traffic control data-gathering device. Both schools were taken off lockdown shortly after.
