Taylor Swift tops list of most successful tours of 2015

A lot of singers made a lot of money during 2015, and some of them picked up a good chunk of change in metro Phoenix.
Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift’s “1989 World Tour” topped Pollstar’s list of worldwide tours of the year, grossing $250.4 million.
Swift brought her tour to the Valley for two shows in August. Tickets went on sale in November 2014 and quickly sold out.
Garth Brooks’ tour also did well, finishing ninth and raking in $115 million.
He did particularly well in Arizona. Originally scheduled for two dates in October, ticket demand was so high that the country star added more shows.
He hadn’t performed in the Valley since 1996.
