What a looker: Top 20 Instagram photos of Arizona from 2015

Either sunsets or sunrises, cacti or mountains, Arizonans captured an assortment of the state’s beauty and shared it via Instagram in 2015.

With more than 44,000 followers, Instagramaz displays more than 2,000 photos that show parts of Arizona many people do not witness everyday.

While most commonly known as “the desert,” there is much more to be seen than barren sand: Rich contrasts in the sky, rainbows descending into a canyon gorge and snowy forests that appear almost too magical to be real. There are countless visual masterpieces to behold in the Grand Canyon state.

Reading a book, or watching a movie, can transport you to another reality; these photos have the same effect. If the saying goes, “a picture is worth a thousand words,” then these pictures are true novels.
